Summer in Terminillo: from Pian de' Valli to Vall'Organo
From Pian de' Valli (piazzale Togo), you take a part of an asphalt road up to Sella del Vento to where a dirt road begins, which will guide you to the Valle degli Angeli.
The climb to Monte Cardito represents a pleasing variation in which you can appreciate the beautiful panorama of the Rieti plain. The itinerary continues first through the beech-wood trees of the area, called La Carbonaia, then flank the Valle dell’Inferno that goes to the Valle degli Angeli. From the refuge, usually occupied by shepherds, to the east you can observe the beautiful Valle degli Angeli and to the west, the Vallone di Lisciano.
Continuing on, diametrically opposite of the direction from which you arrived, you go into the woods, exiting after about 15 minutes, on to a wide meadow that climbs up to the saddle of Vall'Organo. From its crest there is a magnificent panorama, amplified by the richness of the woods. For the return you can make the trip a bit longer by going up the Sassetelli crest arriving up to the top of Terminillo, then going back down to the Sebastiani Refuge.

The itinerary can be followed uphill in about 2 hours and 30 minutes, and it takes 2 hours to return downhill.
